Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks an experienced School Athletic Director to lead the district's high school athletics program with strategic oversight of resources, scheduling, and compliance. You will coordinate coaches, administrators, and volunteers to deliver a safe, equitable, and engaging athletic experience for student-athletes across CPS campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
• NIAAA Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in interscholastic sports, including at least three years in sports program administration.

Responsibilities

• Administers the extracurricular athletic programs, activities, and events.
• Maintains records required by policy, regulation, law and best practice.
• Oversees transportation for all team travel; coordinates with CPS and park districts for facilities and IGAs.
