Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in interscholastic sports, including three years in sports program administration.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Role requires non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends based on school needs.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the extracurricular athletic programs, activities, and events.
  • Oversees transportation for all team travel.
  • Develops and updates handbooks, policies, and regulations governing athletic activities.
  • Monitors and supports academic performance of student-athletes.
  • Coordinates with CPS and Park Districts for facilities and contracts.
  • Assists in developing athletic budgets and capital improvements.
