Avon High School in Avon, Connecticut seeks a Long Term Substitute High School Art Teacher. Applicants must hold CT PK-12 Art certification (042) or be eligible, and possess a degree in Fine Arts or Education with art concentration. Position reports to the building principal.

Compensation follows the collective bargaining agreement and ranges per day; benefits after 40 days. The assignment runs Feb 2, 2027 through Jun 10, 2027.

Formación

• Experience delivering art curriculum in middle/high school.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong collaboration with building administration and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare instructional resources and assessments to support Avon Art curriculum.
• Develop and implement lesson/unit plans and student projects.
• Provide differentiated instruction and modify curriculum for IEPs/504s.
• Support learners needing additional help and guidance.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
