New Fairfield Elementary is seeking an Art Teacher - Long Term Substitute to deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction in New Fairfield, Connecticut. This role supports interdisciplinary learning and maintains an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

SCHOOL: New Fairfield Elementary School

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate art instruction aligned with the district’s elementary curriculum and applicable standards.
• Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, cultures, and traditions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of all students.
• Establish a safe, inclusive, and well-managed art classroom that encourages creativity and self-expression.
• Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback that supports artistic growth.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to support interdisciplinary learning and schoolwide activities.
• Organize, maintain, and safely manage art materials, equipment, and student artwork.

QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate Connecticut Art Education Certification (042 – Art, PreK–12)

SALARY: Daily rate based on education and certification
