The coordinator analyzes MTSS data, communicates graduation requirements, and supports post-secondary planning. Strong data literacy and clear communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience as a general education teacher, special education teacher, counselor, psychologist, or social worker.
• Experience working with gifted learners.
• Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in elementary, middle grades, and/or secondary education, special education, social work, psychology, or counseling.
• AIG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures policies and trends related to gifted learners are implemented.
• Includes gifted learners in MTSS and uses data to guide instruction.
• Communicates graduation requirements to students and parents.
• Analyses student performance data for AIG students.
• Collaborates with IALS and school teams to provide support.
