Job summary

Stride, Inc., a Stride Company, is seeking a remote AIG Coordinator for the North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA). The role oversees identification, placement, and enrichment for gifted students across K-12, ensuring compliance with NC standards and district guidelines.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and partners, lead PD for staff, and monitor progress and records while supporting home-based work with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Active State AIG Endorsement on teaching certificate.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Strong data interpretation to drive instructional decisions.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the district's AIG plan in line with state regulations.
• Coordinate identification procedures, testing, data analysis and placement decisions.
• Liaise with district and state departments on gifted education compliance and reporting.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide differentiated instruction and resources for gifted learners.
• Lead professional development sessions on gifted education best practices.
• Monitor progress of AIG students and provide remediation/enrichment as needed.
• Communicate with parents about program options and strategies.
• Maintain records of eligibility, services, and achievement data.
• Facilitate AIG advisory committees or information sessions.
• Advocate for gifted learners within the curriculum and instructional framework.
• Assist in budget development and resource allocation for AIG programming.
