Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an AIG Coordinator to lead the district's Academically or Intellectually Gifted program. This role involves overseeing the identification and service of gifted students, ensuring compliance with state standards, and promoting differentiated instruction across Edgecombe County Public Schools.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a valid North Carolina Professional Educator’s License, along with a commitment to equity and diversity in education. Candidates should have at least three years of successful teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
• Experience in gifted education or enrichment instruction preferred.
• Eligibility for the AIG add-on licensure issued by NCDPI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor implementation of the district’s AIG Plan.
• Coordinate identification and placement of AIG students.
• Provide professional development on gifted education.
