Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer - High Rise Office Facility to safeguard clients in Commercial Real Estate and other industries. You will monitor and patrol, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

This full-time role in New York offers a pay rate of $18.70 per hour and a steady schedule, with opportunities for training, advancement, and benefits through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting incidents, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications to support continuity of security-related operations.
