Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time Commercial Building site in New York. The role offers a pay rate of $17.50–$18.50 per hour with a set weekly schedule. You will perform site-specific security procedures, monitor access, and respond to incidents to keep people and property safe.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent and a background check. Eligibility for required licenses will be verified as per state/local laws.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and vendor access per site protocols.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and security-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and media-industry guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, vendor, and delivery access in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
