Job summary

Congressional Towers is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a high-rise apartment community in Rockville, MD. The role covers day-to-day maintenance and turnover, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair and HVAC.

You will meet daily with the Maintenance Supervisor, handle work orders, prepare vacant units, assist with grounds maintenance, and respond to on-call emergencies within 20–30 minutes. This position emphasizes safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day apartment maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance issues.
• HVAC knowledge; CFC qualification is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with the Maintenance Supervisor to receive instructions and work orders.
• Perform maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and HVAC.
• Prepare vacant units for new occupancy and maintain building grounds.
• Respond to on-call emergencies within 20–30 minutes when scheduled.
• Maintain safety and report issues to supervisor or manager.
