Responsibilities

• Inspects, cleans, lubricates, paints, and repairs high-pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes.
• Conducts regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address issues; coordinates annual shutdowns.
• Tests and analyses water quality and other equipment to maintain efficient steam system operations.
• Maintains logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
• Cleans and maintains boiler components to prevent corrosion and buildup.
• Responds quickly to emergencies or malfunctions during boiler operation.

Essential Functions:

• Inspects, cleans, lubricates, paints, and repairs high-pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Conducts regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues. Works with and schedules inspectors for annual shutdowns.
• Tests and conducts analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems.
• Records and maintains accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
• Cleans and maintains the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale.
• Responds quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Licensure Requirement:

State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License, required.
