Qualifications

LEVEL 2 requires 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s; or 0 years with a Master’s.
LEVEL 3 requires 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's; 3 years with Masters; or 0 years with PhD/JD.
LEVEL 4 requires 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's; 7 years with Masters; or 4 years with PhD/JD.
LEVEL 5 requires 15 years relevant experience with Bachelor's; 13 years with Masters; or 10 years with PhD/JD.

Responsibilities

Assemble PES hardware including power converters, energy storage systems, PDUs, contactors, protection devices, and thermal subsystems.
Integrate rack-level and containerized systems, ensuring proper mechanical fit, cabling, grounding, and labeling.
Coordinate pre-charge, contactor sequencing, and safe bring-up of high-voltage and low-voltage buses.
Develop and execute system-level and component-level test procedures.
Configure programmable power supplies, loads, AFEs, and battery emulators.
Instrument systems to measure voltage, current, power quality, transients, and thermal behavior.
Conduct FAT, integration testing, fault insertion, and regression testing.
Verify performance against electrical, thermal, and control requirements.
Diagnose hardware, wiring, firmware, and controls issues during bring-up and testing.
Perform structured root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Create and maintain wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, test reports, and as-built documentation.
Follow and enforce high-voltage safety procedures.
