Job summary

HII Mission Technologies in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a Power Systems Integration Engineer to assemble, integrate and test high-power PES hardware for modular microgrids. You will work in lab/industrial environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, production-ready designs.

Candidates should have experience with high-power systems and be able to obtain a secret clearance. The role involves system build, testing, documentation, and safety/compliance responsibilities across multiple levels

Qualifications

Experience with high-power electrical systems (10 kW+).
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
Able to read and generate schematics, wiring diagrams and one-line diagrams.
Lab, industrial or test environment experience.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Assemble PES hardware including power converters, energy storage, PDUs.
Integrate rack-level and containerized systems with proper cabling and grounding.
Coordinate pre-charge and high/low voltage bus bring-up.
Develop and execute system- and component-level tests.
Document wiring diagrams and test reports; support configuration control.
Ensure safety compliance with high-energy standards.
