Job summary

HII Mission Technologies in Knoxville, TN seeks a Power Battery Integration Engineer to assemble, integrate, test, and troubleshoot high-power PES hardware for modular microgrids. Roles include system build, testing, and documentation, with emphasis on safety and configuration control.

Level 2–5 salary bands exist; candidate may work across multiple levels with increasing responsibilities. Requires strong troubleshooting and ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-power electrical systems (10 kW+).
• Ability to read and generate schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
• Understanding of AC and DC power systems.
• Clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
• Experience with electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Assemble PES hardware, integrate rack-level and containerized systems.
• Configure and test system-level and component-level procedures.
• Create wiring diagrams, test reports and as-built documentation.
• Support safety standards and hazard analyses during development.
