Job summary

HII Mission Technologies seeks a Power Battery Integration Engineer in Knoxville, TN. The role involves assembling, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting high-power PES for modular microgrids and load applications.

Qualifications

Experience with high-power electrical systems (10 kW and above).
Ability to read and generate schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
Clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
Understanding of AC/DC power systems, power converters, energy storage systems, and protection devices.

Responsibilities

System Build & Integration: Assemble PES hardware, integrate rack-level and containerized systems, support MOSA-aligned architectures, coordinate pre-charge and sequencing.
Testing & Validation: Develop and execute system-level and component-level test procedures, configure power supplies and battery emulators, measure performance.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose hardware, wiring, firmware, and controls issues, perform root-cause analysis, verify fixes by re-testing.
Documentation & Configuration Control: Create wiring diagrams, test reports, as-built documentation, support configuration management.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to high-voltage safety procedures and applicable safety standards.
