Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to sell internet and other Mediacom products in the field, including video, home phone and mobile services. You will receive paid training, sales tools, in-field support, and regular coaching to help you meet and exceed targets.

Ideal candidates are driven, sales-focused, with strong communication skills and a valid driver's license. The role requires door-to-door canvassing in Mediacom territory and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with internet related devices (Tablets, smartphones, routers, modems, etc.).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain sales by canvassing door to door, using our proven sales techniques along with your skill sets to meet and exceed company sales targets.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and present payment options for customer purchases.
• Canvassing door to door daily from 11am – 8pm. This timeframe is when most prospects are home.
• Performance updates provided by immediate Supervisor or Manager - we are here to support your success!
• Travel within Mediacom territory. This can include state to state travel and up to two weeks at a time. Advance notice will be given for these trips and Mediacom covers costs of transportation, lodging and food allowance.
• Outside of sales we give you other opportunities to shine. As a community ambassador for Mediacom, you may be giving a presentation in a team meeting, help train someone in the field, lead a team conference call or help plan team and community events.
