PopStroke is hiring a Cook for a high-energy kitchen in Sarasota, FL. You will prepare food to high standards, follow portion controls, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the shift.

You will work with the team to deliver fast, tasty meals while minimizing waste and maximizing profitability. Ideal candidates have prior high-volume cooking experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to stand, lift up to 40 lbs, and work weekends and holidays.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a Cook in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

• Quickly, safely, and efficiently prepare food in accordance with our preparation and execution standards.
• Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
• Accurately utilize technology to recognize and complete food ticket orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, countertops, walk-in coolers, and storage areas, to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
• Assist with dishwashing and food prep duties as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Other duties as assigned.
