Job summary

Homebase, Inc. is seeking a Bartender to provide high-energy service, greet guests, learn preferences and suggest menu items. You will prepare and serve beverages and food, maintain a neat appearance, and deliver an engaging guest experience.

The role requires knowledge of classic cocktails, wine and beer, and the ability to run drinks for the dining area in a timely manner. Training and bar test completion are expected for success.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.

Responsibilities

• Set up bar using checklist provided.
• Have bar set up and ready to go by 4:30.
• Memorization of all cocktails and passing of bar test.
• Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Ability to craft cocktails to run as specials.
• Extensive menu knowledge and passing of menu test.
• Take dirty glasses and plates back to the dish room.
• Handle guest requests.
• Keep bar clean and presentable during service.
• Make drinks for the restaurant in a timely manner.
• Communicate 86’d items and update board.
• Use POS system without mistakes.
• Run food properly.
• Polish glassware properly.
• Know table and seat numbers.
• Keep coolers clean and stock appropriately.
