Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions seeks a High Availability Mainframe Developer for a 12-month engagement with remote work allowed within the United States. The role centers on mainframe enhancements, fixes, testing evidence, and documentation for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe development and system integration.
• Proficiency in COBOL, Assembler, and CICS.
• Experience with JCL and DB2 is preferred.
• Agile/Scrum environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, code/config changes, test evidence, and implementation/backout notes.
• Record diagnosis and actions for escalated production issues; document root-cause findings and runbooks as appropriate.
• Link outputs to team work items and submit artifacts for client review against acceptance criteria.

Job Details

Role: High Availability Mainframe Developer

Duration: 12 months

Remote is fine but in the US

Responsibilities

• For assigned mainframe enhancements and fixes, provide applicable analysis, reviewed code or configuration changes, test evidence, and implementation/backout notes.
• For assigned escalated production issues, record diagnosis, actions taken, resolution or escalation, and root-cause findings and runbook updates where warranted.
• Link outputs to the assigned team work item; provide status and knowledge transfer, address review comments, and submit the applicable artifacts to client for review against the item's agreed acceptance criteria.

• Provide Tier III support, including:
  • In-depth troubleshooting
  • Root-cause analysis
  • Application maintenance and production support
  • Code, configuration, or application changes as needed
