The Hurricane Mesa Test Facility (HMTF) is a unique R&D test site that validates ejection seat systems and subsystems using a supersonic rocket sled track. Testing spans sled‑track events with aircraft-representative bodies and anthropometric manikins from zero airspeed/altitude up to and beyond the speed of sound, along with a broad spectrum of subsystem and energetic component tests. The High‑Speed Camera Engineer serves as HMTF’s subject‑matter expert (SME) for high‑speed imaging used in sled‑track and subsystem testing. This role owns the lifecycle, readiness, and performance of sled high‑speed camera systems and ensures reliable capture of critical imagery for each test event. The engineer collaborates closely with test leads and customers on camera planning, setup, execution, and post‑test video review. This role also supports general test activities as needed for all types of tests at the facility.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
