Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in Dayville, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Hi-Pot / Respool Operator for the second shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am). You will operate hi-pot equipment and respool gear, record quality data, and package reels for shipment to customers, while adhering to safety rules and quality standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precise attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and operate multiple machines.
• Knowledgeable with in-process testing procedures for manufacturing.
• Excellent time management skills to meet production demands efficiently.
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Self motivated and works well in a team environment.
• Ability to work required overtime.
• Core Competencies: Excellent time management skills, ability to work required overtime, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to communicate in the English language, verbally and in writing.
• Systems Proficiency: Google Enterprise, ADP, ERP System.
• Working knowledge of Visual and RF Plus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate hi-pot and respool equipment to verify products meet established quality standards.
• Accurately record all relevant quality data, maintain awareness of quality issues and deviations, and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Properly package and label reels for final shipment to the end customer.
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe situations or equipment immediately.
• Maintain professional and collaborative interpersonal communications.
