Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Material Handler to support our Shipping and Receiving operations. You will operate hi-lo equipment, pick and label shipments, and handle loading/unloading tasks with attention to accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years of shipping/receiving experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to communicate cross-functionally on a fast-paced production floor while using RF scanners to update inventory records.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Shipping/Receiving, Hi-Lo or related experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization
• Ability to read, write and understand basic English

Responsibilities

• Operates standing or sit-down Hi-lo or picker
• Uses a barcode scanner throughout the day
• Picks orders for shipment
• Labels shipments
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Conducts inventory transactions on RF units with accuracy
• Other duties as assigned
