Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking motivated individuals to join our HHR Ambassador team. Responsibilities include explaining terminal functions, payouts, and handicapping to guests, ensuring smooth operation, and assisting with jackpot payouts while maintaining a clean wagering area.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and be able to work weekends/holidays. This off-campus role supports the Red Mile team in delivering outstanding guest

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and complete standard forms.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate HHR terminals with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays, with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Educates guests about HHR terminals, payouts, and handicapping.
• Walks designated zones to ensure guest service and terminal function.
• Ensure terminals have paper to minimize downtime.
• Participate in jackpot payout process per policy.
• Report terminal malfunctions to tech or leads.
• Document terminal transactions in the MEAL book.
• Notify Leads or above of guest disputes or needs.
• Monitor for suspicious activity on terminals.
• Promote departmental promotions and service standards.
• Maintain wagering floor cleanliness and terminal chair placement.
