AKG in Mitchell, SD is seeking a High Horsepower (HHP) Assembler for the 1st shift. You will locate, retrieve, and assemble parts into large, complex units using work orders and 3D models.

Moves completed units with motorized cranes and forklifts and ensures assemblies meet AKG quality standards. Responsibilities include following detailed instructions, inspecting steel components, and documenting completed work while maintaining safety and a clean workspace.

Qualificações

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, with 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and 3D computer models.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable working with steel parts, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and using motorized cranes and forklifts safely.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, precise workmanship.
• Able to reliably complete shifts on 1st shift (6 AM–2 PM) following safety policies.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and 3D models.
• Inspect parts such as steel components, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts; make minor adjustments as needed.
• Locate and retrieve parts required for assembly.
• Move assemblies safely using motorized cranes or forklifts.
• Assemble components accurately following blueprints and 3D models.
• Document completed assemblies according to AKG and industry standards.
• Meet production quotas set by Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Build and maintain knowledge of parts and assembly procedures.
• Report issues to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all AKG policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
