Job summary

AKG North America in Mitchell, SD is seeking a High Horsepower (HHP) Assembler/Ensamblador de Alta Potencia to locate, retrieve and assemble parts to build large, complex units using work orders and 3D models. We require the ability to move completed units with motorized cranes and forklifts, prepare for shipping, and ensure each assembly meets AKG and industry quality standards while following all safety policies.

The role is full-time, on-site, with a first shift schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in manufacturing, with 1 year in assembly preferred.
• Able to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and models.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable with steel parts, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves and shafts.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and using motorized cranes and forklifts.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality, precise work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and 3D models.
• Inspect parts such as steel components, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts; make minor adjustments as needed.
• Locate and retrieve parts required for assembly.
• Move assemblies safely using motorized cranes or forklifts.
• Assemble components accurately following blueprints and 3D models.
• Document completed assemblies according to AKG and industry standards.
• Meet production quotas set by Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Build and maintain knowledge of parts and assembly procedures.
• Report issues to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all AKG policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
• Physical requirements: Walk 30% and stand 70%; lift up to 50 lbs 20% of the time; use cranes, ladders, and basic tools safely.
