Job summary

State of Missouri’s Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting Registered Nurses to join a dedicated team serving adults with developmental disabilities.

RNs will oversee medical needs, work with the PCP and support team, and supervise LPNs, applying current nursing theory and standards. The shift is 6:00 am–6:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Missouri RN license.
• Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices and standards.
• Ability to supervise, evaluate and instruct professional nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direct medical support to individuals with developmental disabilities who live at Higginsville Habilitation Center.
• Oversee medical needs in collaboration with PCP and support team.
• Supervise LPNs and communicate with internal and external team members.

Registered Nurses

Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting for Registered Nurses, to be a part of a highly effective team, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports individuals receiving 24/7 services.

Must have knowledge of current professional nursing theory, practices and standards. Ability to administer detailed therapeutic prescriptions under general professional supervision. Ability to supervise, evaluate and instruct professional nursing staff.

Responsibilities

Will provide oversight and direct medical support to the individuals with developmental disabilities who live at HHC. Responsible for overseeing the medical needs of individuals in collaboration with the PCP and the individual’s support team. RNs communicate with internal and external team members and participate in the individual’s planning process. Will supervise LPNs.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri.
