Job summary

Higginsville Habilitation Center, a state-operated program within the Department of Mental Health, is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses to support adults with developmental disabilities. Join a dedicated team delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Shifts include 6:00 am–6:30 pm (1 opening) and 6:00 pm–6:30 am (3 openings) with rotating weekends/holidays. The State of Missouri offers a robust benefits package including pension, generous leave, holidays, and health insurance

Qualifications

• Must have licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri.
• Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices and techniques.
• Skilled in applying practical nursing principles in care of persons with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care for adults with developmental disabilities in a team setting.
• Perform lab draws and administer medications as directed.
• Educate direct support staff and participate in specialist appointments.
• Manage caseload following standard practice and ICF policies and procedures.

Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting for Licensed Practical Nurses, to be a part of a highly effective team, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports individuals receiving 24/7 services.

Must have knowledge of current nursing theory, practices and techniques. Skill in applying practical nursing principles in the care of persons with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of practical nursing duties to individuals with developmental disabilities in a team setting. Duties include: direct patient care, lab draws, medication administration, educating direct support staff, attend specialist appointments, management of caseload to include following current standard of practice and ICF policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri.

• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Shifts

• 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays (1 open position)
• 6:00 pm - 6:30 am, rotating weekends and holidays (3 open positions)
