Job summary

Enva Group in Linwood is recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our Transport team. You will work dayshift from 6am to 4pm, five days a week, 45 hours with overtime eligibility, operating assigned vehicles on routes in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner.

Key duties include completing pre-start inspections, reporting incidents, transporting waste and ensuring Duty of Care compliance with waste transfer notes, loading sheets and secure transit.

Qualifications

• Class 2 LGV driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC certification is required.
• Professional, organised and reliable worker with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns, accidents and incidents promptly.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report defects, breakdowns and incidents.
• Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport and deliver waste materials.
• Ensure Duty of Care by inspecting waste and completing transfer notes and loads are secure.
• Use handheld device and obtain customer signature when required.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare standards per policy and procedures.
• Keep driving cab clean and tidy.
• Assist with coordinating work for efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Description

We are recruiting a HGV RORO Driver to join our team in Linwood you will be working a dayshift from 6am to 4pm, 5 days a week, 45h with eligibility for overtime In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
• Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
• Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
• Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
• Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
• The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
• Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
