Job summary

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for a temp-to-perm role near Rochester. You will join a two-person delivery team, delivering kitchens and bedrooms to customers’ homes and providing excellent service. Training and progression are offered, with guaranteed hours during the temp period.

Typical hours are Mon–Fri with early starts; pay includes £18.25 per hour plus overtime and a quarterly bonus, with a generous annual earnings potential and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.
• Max 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN or CU80).
• Physically fit for manual handling and heavy lifting.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering guaranteed hours, paid training, excellent earning potential and genuine career progression. Whether you're a newly qualified Class 2 driver or have years of experience, you'll receive full support to succeed.

The RoleAs part of a two-person delivery team, you'll deliver high-quality kitchens and bedrooms directly into customers' homes, providing excellent service throughout every delivery.

Your duties will include:

• Delivering goods to the customer's room of choice
• Working alongside a dedicated driver's mate
• Using handheld scanners to confirm deliveries
• Providing professional customer service
• Manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the day

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Shifts of up to 12 hours
• No vehicle loading required – all vehicles are pre-loaded overnight
• Flexibility during peak periods may be required

Pay & Rewards:

• £18.25 per hour + Holiday Pay
• Overtime paid at £27.37 per hour
