Job summary

GXO Logistics is hiring a Class 2 HIAB driver for the Burton on Trent area. This full-time, permanent role covers a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday with 07:00 starts and occasional Saturdays during peak periods.

You will handle accurate, timely movement and delivery of customer products and provide excellent in-person service. Training for HIAB can be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement.
• HIAB licence advantageous but training can be provided.
• Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC) required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• DBS check will be carried out.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and move products accurately and on time for customers.
• Provide excellent face-to-face customer service.
• Occasionally deliver bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB from Wickes stores.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HIAB driver to join our home delivery team in Burton on Trent for our customer, Wickes.

You will be contracted to work 39 hours / week,on a Monday to Friday schedule with 07:00 am start times, with Saturdays during peak period.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
• Providing excellent face to face customer service to customer
• As required delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement
• HIAB licence (ALLMI or equivalent) is advantageous but not necessary as training can be provided
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
• Successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS check
