Qualifications

• Desired majors are Occupational Safety & Health; Safety Management; Public Health; Industrial Hygiene; Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability; Fire Protection & Safety; Other related fields.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs and/or ladders, and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Industrial Hygiene interns/co-ops support various areas including Refining; Midstream Crude Oil & Products Logistics; Midstream Natural Gas & Natural Gas Liquids Services; and Occupational & Environmental Hygiene.
• Interns/co-ops assist professionals in implementing health, safety, and security planning and compliance activities.
• Duties may include audits; employee training programs; industrial hygiene; equipment maintenance; incident investigations; emergency preparedness and regulatory inspections; and agency liaison duties.
