Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) offers internship and co-op opportunities to high‑performing college students in safety and industrial hygiene. Interns work side‑by‑side with experienced professionals on projects across refining, logistics, and environmental health.

This on-site program requires concurrent enrollment, strong academics, and a commit­ment to 40 hours per week in Findlay, Ohio. Eligible candidates will gain hands-on experience, training, and exposure to MPC's safety culture.

Qualifications

• Majors include Occupational Safety & Health; Safety Management; Public Health; Industrial Hygiene; Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability; Fire Protection & Safety.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• On-site availability for 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist health, safety, and security planning and compliance activities.
• Participate in facility audits and employee training programs.
• Support industrial hygiene and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to incident investigations and emergency preparedness.
• Collaborate with Marathon teams across units as an agency liaison.
