Job summary

Spectrum Control, Inc. is seeking a Laser Weld Technician to set up and operate laser welding systems. The role involves performing quality inspections and maintaining production logs in a cleanroom environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with hermetic laser welding and the ability to read technical specifications. A high school diploma with a technical certificate or degree is preferred. The position offers competitive wages, PTO, and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with hermetic laser welding, preferably fiber or Nd:YAG lasers.
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and stringent quality standards such as AS9100.
• Desire for continuous education of new hermetic laser seal technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate automated or manual laser welding systems.
• Perform visual inspection and conduct non-destructive testing.
• Maintain detailed production logs and quality inspection records.

Skills

Experience with hermetic laser welding

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Strong communication skills

Proficiency with machine control software

Education

High school diploma; technical certificate in welding
