Qualifications

• PhD in Spanish linguistics with a focus on heritage learners by date of appointment.
• Ability to teach Spanish for heritage learners at all undergraduate levels; may also teach Spanish (L2) language courses.
• Commitment to inclusive, multicultural education and service to students.
• All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to campus.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 load (eight undergraduate courses per year).
• Recruit, advise and mentor Spanish majors, minors, and certificate students.
• Contribute to departmental and College committee work and other duties as assigned by the chair.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance the college's goals of access and excellence.
