Baylor Scott & White Liver Consultants of Texas in Dallas, TX seeks an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join its hepatology team. This role involves a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient care, including inpatient rounding at Baylor University Medical Center and procedures such as paracentesis.

The AGACNP will provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic liver disease, collaborate with hepatologists, and manage treatment plans within approved protocols.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• 1-2 years experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or primary care preferred.
• Licensed as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Texas; RN license active in Texas; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Assess physical and mental condition through comprehensive exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe and manage medications per protocols.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans with physicians.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust plans as needed.
• Counsel patients and families on disease processes and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and initiate referrals when appropriate.
• Participate in inpatient rounding at Baylor University Medical Center.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice including paracentesis.
