Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (AP) to join the inpatient hepatology service at Clements University Hospital. You will round with GI fellows, handle hepatology consults, patient admissions and discharges, and perform procedures such as paracentesis and DHT placement.

• Master's degree or higher in a health profession with APRN/PA scope.
• ARC-PA accredited PA program or equivalent nursing advanced practice education.
• TX Board of Nursing licensure and prescriptive authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing physical examinations.
• Develop and adjust patient care plans with the team.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as needed.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities.
