Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a US Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Lead for a Rare Tumor Asset. You will generate rigorous medical evidence to inform clinical strategy and access decisions by US population health decision-makers.

Responsibilities include leading RWE programs, developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, and translating findings into AMCP dossiers for formulary committees. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of HEOR experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, population health, or consulting.
• Technical expertise: Hands-on experience in real-world evidence study design and execution; ability to develop and validate decision-analytic economic models (cost-effectiveness and budget impact).
• Health system knowledge: Understanding of how population health organizations, formulary decision-makers evaluate evidence and make coverage decisions.
• Publication record: Track record of publishing peer-reviewed HEOR research in medical journals.
• Travel: Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Developing comprehensive value evidence strategies — design and execute systematic literature reviews, real-world evidence studies, and PRO research.
• Leading real-world evidence research programs — design observational study protocols, SAPs, oversee execution, and produce final reports.
• Characterizing disease burden and real-world outcomes — conduct epidemiological and database analyses to inform access decisions.
• Building and validating economic models — develop cost-effectiveness and budget impact models grounded in real-world data.
• Creating evidence-focused materials for population health stakeholders — lead AMCP Dossiers and health economics briefs.
• Supporting field medical communications — translate HEOR findings into clear materials for health system audiences.
• Representing HEOR across cross-functional workstreams — collaborate with medical and market access teams.
• Synthesizing insights — integrate insights from stakeholders and literature to strengthen the clinical evidence narrative.
• Publishing scientific findings — drive peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference abstracts.
• Managing the research portfolio — oversee multiple HEOR projects and budgets.
