Job summary

YMCA Of Greater Indianapolis is hiring a part-time Swim Lesson Instructor for the Avon, IN location. The role involves providing safe and engaging swim lessons in line with YMCA safety guidelines. Authorization to teach and assess students will be based on approved certifications and successful swim testing.

Benefits include flexible scheduling, YMCA membership, and professional development opportunities; typical shifts include Monday–Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday midday.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience leading group swim lessons preferred.
• Must be able to swim as determined by passing a swim test.
• Current Swim Lesson Certification (YMCA or ARC) or Water Exercise Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, provide safe and challenging Swim Lesson classes according to YMCA and safety guidelines.
