Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice.

The role is 100% outpatient with hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, no after-hours call, and involves prenatal care, contraception implant placement, OB care, and interpreting labs, using Epic EMR.

Base salary ranges from $126,000 to $158,000 with incentives; comprehensive benefits and 401(k) matching are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year obstetrics experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with outpatient practice workflows and Epic EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations
• Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy
• Implant contraception (IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.) and OB patient care
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Outpatient clinic duties during regular hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00–5:00)

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.)
• See new OB patients. Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
