Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic is hiring a Lab Technician at its Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. This full-time role supports Hematopathology with bone marrow and lymphoma case management, specimen processing, archiving and external consultation services.

You will perform advanced accessioning in the LIS, data entry, slide prep, tracking investigations and liaison with subspecialties, while adhering to safety and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in science or 2+ years lab processing experience.
• Experience with LIS and specimen tracking.
• Familiarity with data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accession specimens into the LIS.
• Higher-level LIS accessioning and esoteric testing.
• Advanced tracking investigations.
• Liaise with subspecialties.
• Resolve issues and QA logs.
• Prepare specimens for analysis.
• Manual processing and equipment maintenance.
• Retrieve, sort, and deliver specimens.
• Follow safety, SOPs and regulations.
• Maintain documentation.
