Job summary

Antech is seeking a Hematology Technician I to perform cytology accessioning, staining, and routine laboratory testing. You will prepare samples, set up instruments, run tests, read results and release findings.

The role requires building CBC/UA loads, preparing slides, and maintaining quality control. Shift includes 12pm–8:30am, Mon–Sat, with two days off weekly and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Laboratory skills for setting up, running and operating lab instruments preferred.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate results and documentation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced lab environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
• Proficient data entry and basic math skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build CBC/UA loads, slide preparation and staining.
• Assist with prepping Avian/Exotic specimens as requested.
• Spin manual hematocrits and prepare blood smears.
• Manage the LTP process and ensure quality control per SOPs.
• Perform tests including Destiny, PT/PTT, Fibrinogen, UA Front End, protein, and blood typing.
• Accession and label paperwork, slides, tubes and jars per protocol.
