Job description

Job Overview: The Hematology Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, technicians, and laboratory assistants, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of hematology tests and results.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring turnaround time and maintaining quality control.
  2. Investigating and resolving QA issues or discrepancies.
  3. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs.
  4. Performing validation studies and analyses as needed by reviewing and verifying test results to ensure accuracy and precision.
  5. Maintaining accurate records of test results, quality control, and laboratory procedures.
  6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
  7. Implementing best practices to enhance laboratory operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies CAP, CLIA, DOHNJ, and TJC.

Qualifications:
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in science.
  • 2-5 years of direct experience in the field of clinical laboratory in an acute care hospital.
