Job summary

Huntington VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV, seeks a Hematology/Oncology physician to join the Medical Service’s Hematology/Oncology department. The physician will provide expert care for blood disorders and cancers, and supervise oncology fellows in an academic clinical setting.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm). The clinician may occasionally visit affiliated clinics for meetings or trainings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school.
• Full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in an ACGME/AOA approved core specialty with board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Practice hematology/oncology at the Huntington VA Medical Center campus.
• Supervise oncology fellows as part of the Hematology/Oncology team.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.
• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of hematology/oncology conditions.
• May visit a CBOC for meetings or trainings as needed.
