Job summary

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible for VA appointment.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States or District of Columbia.
• Residency training leading to board certification in a core specialty.
• ABIM board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation in Hematology and Oncology for diagnosis and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Healthcare management of veteran patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies and refer to specialists as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and staff; participate in clinical rounds and tumor boards.
