Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a lab professional to perform routine and automated blood testing, quality control, phlebotomy, and specimen preparation in a central lab. You will operate equipment, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and keep detailed documentation for all tests and procedures.

The role requires a biomedical laboratory background with at least four years in healthcare, state licensure, and preferred national certification; BLS is also preferred.

Qualifications

• A.A. or A.S. degree required.
• Appropriate state license required. National lab certification preferred. BLS preferred.
• Minimum of four years experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Ensure that test report logs, quality control logs, equipment records, and training checklists are completed on schedule.
• Work in a central lab and maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Perform instrument maintenance and initiate troubleshooting when necessary.
• Comply with safety guidelines and keep the laboratory and equipment clean and compliant with regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information at all times.
