This full-time role supports back-office and clinical coordination, preparing patients for specialty care, handling authorizations, and coordinating labs and appointments. The ideal candidate has a CMA or RMA credential, current BLS, and graduation from an accredited MA program.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or other school approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
• MA certification through AAMA or AMT may be accepted in lieu of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process prior authorizations for medications, treatments, and specialty services.
• Process medication authorizations for home health and infusion services.
• Coordinate specialty laboratory authorizations and assist with obtaining required approvals.
• Prepare and submit requisitions for specialty laboratory testing.
• Perform chart preparation to ensure patient records are complete and ready for upcoming visits.
• Assist with coordinating patient appointments and follow-up needs as directed by the clinical team.
• Respond to select questions or requests forwarded by the triage team, providing appropriate administrative support and routing clinical concerns as needed.
• Assist with patient care coordination activities related to Hematology Oncology services.
