Job summary

North East Medical Services in San Francisco, CA is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide high quality diagnostic and treatment services, consult with supervising physicians, and participate in quality improvement programs. Qualifications

Graduate degree in nursing.
Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Licensed Nurse Practitioner in California.
Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
DEA License Required.

Responsibilities

Sees patients as scheduled by the department and performs patient examinations and evaluations, obtaining medical histories and counseling within training and protocols.
Consults with supervising physicians or other providers as necessary.
Performs routine screening physical exams and follow-ups, especially for chronic conditions.
Orders lab tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic studies.
Provides preventative care including immunizations and makes referrals as needed.
Provides acute care as specified in NP‑PA protocols and health counseling.
Records patient information in the EHR system and participates in quality improvement programs.
