Job summary

Ronald Reagan Medical Center's Hematology/Oncology unit seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide and coordinate comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including those undergoing stem cell transplantation, CAR T-Cell therapy, and clinical trials.

You will participate in rounds, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, guideline-driven care and safe transitions.

Qualifications

• CA RN and CA NP licenses required.
• MSN/DNP in Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP) required.
• National AG-ACNP certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NP furnishing with Schedule II; PECOS and CURES enrollment required.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Previous NP experience required.
• Ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Documentation of patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner.

Responsibilities

Description

Join an established and dynamic team on the Hematology/Oncology unit at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. As a Nurse Practitioner on this service, you can make a difference in our patient and families lives! Within a collaborative environment, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing/coordinating patient clinical care for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other hematologic malignancies, including those undergoing stem cell transplantation, CAR T-Cell therapy, and clinical trials. In this interdependent role you will ensure quality of patient care by implementing clinical protocols following standards of care practice guidelines, policies and procedures. By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.

Salary range: $98.95/hourly

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required
• NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required
• RN or APP Oncology experience- preferred
• Previous NP experience-required
