Job summary

Premier Medical Laboratory (PML) in Edison, NJ, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist with hematology experience to join our team. The role involves performing hematology tests and related laboratory duties to aid in diagnosis and monitoring of blood-related conditions.

The position is daytime with occasional evening or weekend work. The candidate will maintain instruments, ensure QC, and collaborate with healthcare providers to support accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• 2+ years hematology lab experience; clinical chemistry exposure beneficial.
• Certification as Medical Technologist or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology tests: CBCs, coagulation, blood smears.
• Conduct testing in chemistry, immunology, drug testing, and urinalysis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments for peak performance.
• Analyze results and report critical findings to medical staff promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, QC protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to optimize workflow and patient outcomes.
• Assist in training other technologists as needed.
