Job summary

Premier Medical Laboratory in Edison, NJ is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist with hematology experience to join our team. The role involves performing hematology tests, chemistry, immunology, drug testing, and urinalysis to aid in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.

You will maintain instruments, analyze results, and communicate critical findings to physicians. The position is daytime with possible evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a hematology laboratory or related areas.
• Strong understanding of clinical testing principles and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology tests: CBC, coagulation studies, and blood smears.
• Conduct tests in chemistry, immunology, drug testing, and urinalysis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments for optimal performance.
• Interpret results and communicate critical findings to medical staff promptly.
• Ensure safety and quality control compliance.
• Collaborate with staff to optimize workflow and patient outcomes.
• Participate in training of other technologists.
